Mickey and Louise Savage are the King and Queen of the speedway set, a world of motorbikes, rock n roll, classic cars and alcohol. Unfortunately, the reigning chaos in the
Savage household allows Louise little time to address the problems lying

In a last ditch attempt to re-ignite their romance, Louise suggests they head off to their favourite seaside spot for a second honeymoon. Mickey eagerly agrees when the cops start nosing around the house, and they hurtle off together in the night. But Mickey and Louise’s romantic weekend degenerates into a riot when the rest of the incorrigible Savage family gatecrash the honeymoon and create mayhem at the camping grounds. Starved of the attention she craves, Louise packs her bags and leaves Mickey and his eternal party, only to find herself tempted by the unsolicited affection of another man.

Mickey is finally forced to confront his demons in order to win back the only woman he has ever loved. Savage Honeymoon is an earthy comedy in the tradition of “The Snapper” and “The Castle” about a tough family battling to survive in a dysfunctional culture armed with the only weapon they have - love. |
