When Police Sergeant Andy Green resigns from his small town station in North
Queensland no-one questions the coroner’s verdict of suicide when
he is found dead in his home a few weeks later. No-one, that is, except his sister, the volatile Cathy. Her fears are strengthened when she discovers a tape Andy had received relating to a prominent murder case where a local recluse had been convicted of the crime. Her brother had resigned soon after the conviction. The voice on the tape claims to have committed the schoolgirl murder, and three additional murders, naming three missing girls from around the state. |
![]() Andy had launched his own investigation but two weeks later he was dead. |
|
On his way out of town he inadvertently solves a cryptic clue on the
tape which leads him to the local Blackwater Reservoir. He stumbles across
a dismembered limb and the next piece of what appears to be a trail of
clues.

Matt
brings in the local police, but finds them very reluctant to get involved,
particularly Sergeant Chris Watson. He is escorted back to the motorway
and decides there’s more to the whole situation than meets the eye.
In the meantime Cathy has found the evidence that the police were instrumental in setting MacCarthy up for the murder …… Matt and Cathy decide to follow the trail of clues to what they believe will be the burial ground of the other three missing girls. However, as soon as they start following the trail, they realise that the killer is watching their every move….. |
